Ph.D. Candidate in Health Policy (Economics track) Harvard University
I am a Ph.D. candidate in Health Policy (Economics track) at Harvard University. My research sits at the intersection of health economics, public policy, and behavioral economics. I use experimental and quasi-experimental methods to study how government financing reforms and emerging digital tools can improve access to and quality of health care in developing countries. I am also interested in how determinants outside the health sector affect health outcomes, a dimension emphasized since the Alma-Ata Declaration but often neglected in health economics research.
Before starting my Ph.D., I studied Applied Mathematics and Economics at Macalester College and worked as an analyst and data scientist at Analysis Group, where I specialized in health economics and outcomes research (HEOR).
I was born and raised in Dakar, Senegal, and am a proud alumnus of the United World College of South East Asia (Singapore).
